It is always Joy to minister in a joyful community and I cherish being a part of this wonderful parish.
St. Ambrose parish is a vital community of faith made up of people who are, in a way, summoned here by God, people who respond to God’s call.
We are a community that spans, now, over 75 years of prayer and work together—wartime, peacetime, pandemic; six popes[1], two dioceses[2], seven bishops[3]—a parish with ample reason to be grateful for the past and hopeful for blessings yet to come.
Like many other parishes, St. Ambrose is dedicated to service of many kinds. Maybe you are involved in it. If not, we can help you find a way to be involved.
Each Sunday, as we come together for the memorial of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are surrounded by Christians like ourselves. They, too, try to comprehend the Mysteries of our faith. They, too, try to let the Word of God guide them. Like us, they stumble; like us, they regain their balance as they allow the risen Lord to steady them with his guiding hand.
It’s important to take good care of the people around us. We hope to spend eternity with them in Heaven. I’m grateful to share St. Ambrose with you. And Heaven, too, I hope.
May St. Ambrose intercede for us!
