This group moves through the process whereby adults enter the Catholic Church. In this process, inquirers meet weekly with a team of lay people and our pastor who teach the faith, share their own experience of Christ in their lives, and accompany inquirers on their journey of faith. Through sharing the Sunday readings, inquirers experience more fully the powerful word of God reflected in Scripture and how to apply it in their daily lives. Coordinated by: Eileen Rutten
This ministry is under development.
Our Saint Ambrose Parish Religious Education team collaborates with our parents to teach our youngest parishioners about our Catholic faith. As Mark wrote, “When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ (Mark 10:13-16)” Our Sunday School programs will run from September through the end of April, with highlights of confirmation in the fall and first communion in the spring.
Please click on the button below to find out more information regarding how the program prepares the students for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit during our weekly classes. Each week we teach the children to grow and begin to understand their Catholic faith. The goal is for them to flourish in their loving relationship with God, and as they become adults, serve lovingly in our Catholic Church.
Temporary on hold due to COV ID-19 pandemic .
The focal point of this group is to reflect upon and discuss the Sunday readings. This group meets nine months of the year, on Tuesday evenings, and uses the Sunday by Sunday program, a 4 page flyer published by Good Ground Press, sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondolete, St. Paul MN. The sessions begin at 7pm with a reflection by the leader, a short music selection, and a prayer. The meetings end promptly at 8:30pm. Coordinated by: Marilyn Thornburg
The purpose of this group is to enhance spiritual growth through discussion of books, films and articles that encourage the deepening of our relationship with God. These sharings are meant to draw us to the awareness of our responsibility to bring to life the Gospel in our parish and in the world and to discover God in our relationship with others.
With the COVID-19 pandemic an SOS ZOOM session is being held weekly Sunday at 1:00 pm. Contact Paul Rahn at [email protected] or 269-343-8234 to get added to the ZOOM list.
Please feel free to join us for a uplifting discussion.
